Role Summary:
We are looking for an accomplished Engineering Manager to take on the challenging role of General Manager. Based in Ikoyi, Lagos, this position is pivotal in overseeing large-scale, complex construction projects from inception to completion. As General Manager, you will spearhead strategic initiatives, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure seamless project execution that aligns with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and implement processes, strategies, and policies to ensure the efficient management of high-rise construction projects.
- Project Oversight: Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver exceptional outcomes on schedule and within scope.
- Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse team of engineers, contractors, and project managers to achieve excellence.
- Innovation and Development: Lead the development of cutting-edge designs, products, and processes to maintain competitive advantage.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to local quality, safety, and health regulations for construction sites.

Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or mechanical engineering (required).
- An MBA in Construction or Project Management (preferred).
Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in high-rise building construction, with the last 5 years in a senior management role.
Certifications:
- Membership with COREN or an equivalent professional engineering body is mandatory.
Technical Competencies:
- Deep understanding of construction operations, advanced mathematical skills, and proficiency in relevant project management tools.
- Familiarity with advanced construction technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), drone applications, and IoT-enabled devices for construction management.
- Knowledge of green building practices, including LEED certification, net-zero design principles, and renewable energy integration.
- Expertise in modern project management techniques, such as agile construction methods, predictive analytics, and cost engineering tools.
- Strong understanding of data analytics and the use of AI tools to optimize project performance.
Leadership and Organizational Skills:
- Exceptional ability to manage budgets, teams, and schedules while keeping an eye on details.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams, with a focus on change management and emotional intelligence.
