About the role

As an Engineering Manager in our Food Alliance, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems that power critical data points for numerous domains and shape our digital product experience.

What you’ll do

• Lead a team of backend engineers to deliver innovative services and data solutions for our customers.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that prioritizes quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Guide your team in making informed decisions, promoting autonomy, and encouraging self-sufficiency.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities for your team members.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and offer constructive feedback to support your team's growth.
• Collaborate with the Director of Engineering on hiring, capacity planning, and strategic initiatives.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience as a software engineer with expertise in Java, Kotlin, or GoLang.
• Successful track record of managing at least one engineering team in an agile environment (3-6 engineers).
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives to completion.
• Strong understanding of service-oriented architectures and their implementation.
• Excellent communication, listening, and empathy skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively and leverage data-driven insights.
• Creative problem-solving skills and having a passion for innovation.
• Humble leadership style that inspires and motivates teams to achieve their best.
