Engineering Manager

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a high-performing team of nearly 50 engineers. This individual will play a critical role in shaping team culture, promoting technical excellence, and driving impactful improvements across project processes and development practices.

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure alignment on project objectives, optimize workflows, and maintain high standards of quality. A key focus will be on fostering a collaborative environment where engineers are empowered to excel, innovate, and grow. You will leverage your deep knowledge of Agile, data-driven decision-making, and continuous integration practices to enhance team productivity and efficiency.

This role requires a proactive, self-motivated problem solver who can effectively navigate complex, enterprise-level projects, using data insights to inform strategic priorities and proactively resolve challenges in a fast-paced environment. You will establish and maintain a trusted relationship with the customer, ensuring regular, open communication to discuss team performance, project initiatives, and opportunities for improvement. Acting as a critical communication bridge, you’ll gather and implement customer feedback, propose improvements, and continuously align deliverables with business and client expectations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, and managing engineering teams, with a focus on fostering collaboration, performance, and technical excellence
  • Proven ability to establish trusted relationships with clients, using regular communication to align on team performance, project initiatives, and actionable feedback
  • 7+ years of background in engineering roles, with at least 3-5 years in a management or leadership position overseeing a sizable team (20+ engineers)
  • Competency in working with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and client representatives to drive alignment and enhance project outcomes
  • Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile best practices, with the ability to apply these methodologies to optimize team performance, streamline workflows, and foster continuous improvement
  • Skilled in identifying and implementing improvements in project processes, workflows, and tooling to increase efficiency, productivity, and code quality
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of managing team dynamics effectively, resolving conflicts, and maintaining a collaborative, positive work environment that supports team morale and project continuity
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a proven ability to manage complex projects within fast-paced environments
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including best practices in project management, workflow automation, and cross-functional collaboration to support effective and efficient project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to set, monitor, and analyze performance metrics, using data-driven insights to guide team progress, prioritize initiatives, and resolve bottlenecks to achieve business goals
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, gathering actionable feedback and integrating data-driven insights into team practices and project strategies to optimize outcomes
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders

  • Experience managing teams on large-scale systems or enterprise-level projects, especially in environments with complex stakeholder needs
  • Familiarity with analytics and project management platforms to gather insights, track progress, and support data-driven team and project management
  • Participation in management workshops or certifications focused on leadership skills, people management, or conflict resolution to enhance team dynamics and foster a collaborative environment

  • Mentor, coach, and inspire a team of nearly 50 engineers, fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture that supports technical excellence and individual growth
  • Establish and maintain a trusted relationship with the customer through regular communication on team performance, project initiatives, and continuous feedback integration. Proactively act on customer input and propose improvements to align deliverables with client expectations
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and client representatives to enhance team performance and continuously improve project processes. Proactively evaluate and act on proposals from team members and cross-functional teams
  • Independently identify and propose opportunities for continuous improvement in project execution and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and measurable impact on project delivery
  • Establish regular touchpoints with stakeholders to obtain actionable insights on team performance, project progress, and opportunities for improvement, using this feedback to drive enhancements and ensure alignment with broader business objectives
  • Drive and implement enhancements to workflows, development processes, and tooling that maximize team productivity, elevate code quality, and align deliverables with client and business expectations
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics and objectives for team and project success, using data-driven insights to adjust priorities, resolve bottlenecks, and maintain alignment with business goals
  • Optimize development practices through the adoption of best practices, workflow automation, and continuous integration strategies to boost team efficiency and maintain high standards in code quality
  • Maintain clear and supportive communication with stakeholders, providing assistance in team and project management. Proactively suggest changes to strengthen project alignment with stakeholder needs and success criteria
  • Demonstrate a proactive, self-motivated approach to solving problems and overcoming challenges within dynamic, enterprise-level project environments
  • Actively address and resolve conflicts within the team to maintain a collaborative and productive work environment. Identify and escalate critical issues when necessary, ensuring timely resolution to support project continuity and uphold team morale
  • Collaborate with recruiting and HR teams to attract, onboard, and retain top engineering talent, ensuring a diverse and balanced team that meets evolving project needs
