The Developer Platform team boosts developer productivity by playing a pivotal role in optimizing the local development experience. We build foundational tools, frameworks, and platforms that integrate with common developer workflows at Cruise.

 

We are looking for an Engineering Manager who can set product direction by working with engineers and Program Managers to build engineering roadmaps, prioritize work, and drive execution of plans.

 

What you'll do:

  • Develop, lead, and mentor a team of strong engineers
  • Collaborate with developers and product management to develop engineering roadmaps
  • Lead execution of projects and initiatives
  • Set the standard for engineering excellence on the team

What you must have:

  • 8+ years of professional experience building and shipping platforms and services
  • 4+ years of professional experience growing and leading engineering teams
  • Effective leadership, execution, and communication skills
  • Passion to lead your team and encourage best practices
  • Drive for building solutions to improve developer productivity
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent real world experience

  • Experience with tools and platforms that improve developer productivity

The salary range for this position is $199,600 - $293,500. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
