Meet the job
Together with Operations, you will work to create and facilitate an environment in which each individual improves both their soft and strong engineering/consulting skills. You are responsible for creating the conditions in which the development teams can deliver features that meet the high expectations of our customers. You will manage up to 3 functional teams of software engineers and develop high-level strategic plans for those teams to ensure they are set up for success with the right competencies and energized team dynamics. On a day-to-day basis, you work closely with your team to surface any anti-pattern or dysfunction that impacts the team’s performance and ensure the team works towards solving those.
It is up to you to make sure that your teams are balanced and deliver software that meets the expectations of our customers while taking all the non-functionals like security, performance, maintainability, and reliability into account. You need to be able to answer technical questions, train and manage your team while working with various other departments.
You have a strong ability to persuade, inspire and motivate others. You easily navigate stakeholders across Backbase, from 1-to-1s with members of your team to working directly with senior leadership.
