About the role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to enhance and support multiple teams in producing high quality, industry-leading, scalable SaaS platform with worldwide coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Daily coordination and performance management of couple of our engineering teams;
  • Identifying opportunities to improve delivery predictability, throughput and quality;
  • Driving the adoption and improvement of ways of working, standards and principles;
  • Helping shape the technical resourcing and provision of capabilities (tools, software, etc.) for the technology plans and product roadmap;
  • Managing and coordinating the reporting associated to all engineering performance and quality metrics and works on improving automations;
  • Working with the Team Champions to improve the structure and ways of working;
  • Aligning with the Lead Engineering Manager regarding priorities and strategies in managing the daily workflow;
  • Inspire team members to be better; identifying opportunities for individual development, and continually extending the capabilities of the team;
  • Working to maintain and improve employee engagement and retention; Deliver regular feedback on performance to the team members & align expectations.

Must have

  • Experience in leadership / management of technical staff – excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Technical capabilities, with broad range of technologies;
  • Ability to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable SaaS solutions;
  • Experience of managing Software Development projects;
  • Experience working in a Software Development environment with solid understanding the agile Development cycle;
  • Understanding of best practices related to software architecture, coding principles (e.g. SOLID, DRY, Design patterns, etc.) and continuous integration;
  • Proven track-record in managing efficient relationships with various stakeholders (e.g. Product Managers/Owners);
  • Excellent communicator, comfortable explaining technical problems and plans in person and in writing;
  • Highly efficient in a fast-paced, agile (Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD best practices) scale-up environment;
  • Detail-oriented with excellent self-motivation, planning, documentation and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience in coding with some OOP language, frameworks, libraries and tools;
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD.
