Engineering Lead

Team Management

  • Recruitment and Hiring: Attract, interview, and hire top engineering talent.
  • Team Development: Mentoring and coaching team members, providing guidance on career development and professional growth.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback regularly.
  • Fostering Collaboration: Promote a collaborative culture within the team and across departments.
  • Regular 1-1: Have regular meetings with all members of your team

Strategic Planning

  • Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for the engineering team that aligns with the overall business goals.
  • Roadmap Development: Collaborate with product management to develop and maintain the product roadmap.
  • Estimation: When needed provide high level estimations for features

Technical Leadership

  • Architecture and Design Oversight: Ensure that the architecture and design of systems are scalable, robust, and align with business goals.
  • Code Quality: Advocate for and ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Innovation: Promote and drive the adoption of new technologies and processes that improve efficiency and product quality.

Cultural Leadership

  • Championing Values: Uphold and promote the team's core values and culture within the engineering team.
  • Employee Engagement: Encourage a positive work environment that motivates and engages employees.
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer and 1+ years in a lead role (Tech Lead, Engineering Manager)
  • Solid understanding of backend and frontend technologies
  • Experience with hiring and team process improvements
