To facilitate ongoing expansion and rapid scaling, Docplanner is hiring an Engineering Director, to further develop our Tech teams.
Key Responsibilities
Deep-dive into and challenge technical solutions to balance product, business, and engineering objectives for both short-term and long-term goals, ensuring component quality and reliability.
Contribute to our global technical strategy, define architecture and standards, direct the technological path for your area, and ensure timely delivery.
Lead a team of engineering managers of varying seniority levels, fostering their growth and scaling the team effectively.
Create and nurture a culture of collaboration, performance, and accountability across all teams.
Clearly document and communicate technical opportunities, constraints, recommendations, and action items in a way that is understandable to both technical and non-technical audiences
Collaborate with both technical and non-technical members of the organization to help define ongoing and future business and system requirements and prioritize technology-related initiatives.
Articulate and communicate technical challenges to senior stakeholders and contribute to the roadmap for both your teams and the entire engineering department.
Be a trusted advisor to the executive team and drive strategic decision-making processes.
Contribute to growth and retention on both the demand and supply side through the use of cutting-edge technology
Extensive experience in international engineering teams.
Confident managing large teams (50+), with a proven track record in growing and mentoring engineering managers.
Strong technical background with the ability to challenge and contribute to technical solutions.
Hands-on, detail-oriented, pragmatic, and collaborative attitude.
Comfortable with change, uncertainty, and high-velocity environments.
Customer-centric focus, aligning the organization to maximize customer outcomes.
Inspiring and engaging people leader with high emotional intelligence (EQ), able to navigate opinions, set a vision, and bring people along.
Intellectual and strategic horsepower with exceptional clarity of thought and a relentless focus on execution and delivery.
