The Engineering Construction Project Coordinator (CPC) provides contract administration as it relates to proposal planning, proposal development, project buy out, project shipment, project mobilization, project set-up, execution set-up, back-office support for field activities, and close-out.
CPC assists in conducting quantity/material takeoffs, procuring materials, inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring materials are received at the project site. Project sites will be outside of the United States and there are opportunities for short-term international travel.
Active or ability to acquire a Secret security clearance is required, Top Secret security clearance is preferred. This position will require a security clearance application with the Department of Defense to be completed upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The position will require US Citizenship due to the nature of the government contract.
- Relevant commercial construction/renovation project experience with 3-5 yrs minimum experience (tenant fit out, light office renovation, etc.).
- A minimum of a High School degree is required. An Engineering or Construction Management degree or experience in construction management (i.e., superintendent, tradesmen, etc.) is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of building Electrical and/or Mechanical systems preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Strong computer skills (spreadsheets, data bases, etc.) is required.

CPM scheduling experience is desirable. Knowledge of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is also desirable.
- Must be able to read, understand and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out most work independently with minimal oversite.
- Must be highly organized.
- Must be highly motivated and detail oriented.
- Must be willing to travel to Baltimore, MD region for 1-2 days at a time for shipment support.
- Must be willing to travel internationally for periods of 5-7 days, potentially longer as required.
Expected Outcomes
- Prepares material take-offs and works with Purchasing Department to order materials.
- Prepares subcontractor and vendor Requests for Proposal.

Performs physical inventory of materials, and assists in creating load lists for shipping activities.
- Oversight of warehouse staff for shipment load-out.
- Assist in coordinating project site surveys.
- Reviews and processes subcontractor and vendor invoices.
- Maintains & assists Project Manager with preparation of Weekly Project Updates.
- Maintains and updates Purchasing Schedule.
- Maintains and updates a complete Submittal Log.
- Prepares submittals in conformance with contract documents.
- Tracks submittal process.
- Identifies lead times for material purchases and tracks fabrication/required on job dates.
- Maintains and updates Owner Change Order Log.
- Accurately and timely identifies and documents project issues.
- Reviews project documents & creates RFIs in a timely manner.
- Maintains and updates RFI Log.
- Prepares/processes project close-out documentation.
- Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
