Key responsibilities
- Shop floor presence and ability to support maintenance group

Analyzes production processes to improve or make recommendations for improving the manufacturing process

High level coordination to bring together stakeholders for effective and profitable project deliveries

Audits, maintains, and formalizes assembly work instructions

Provides manufacturing & quoting decision-making information for assigned projects, asset improvement initiatives

Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians

Read, create, and interpret blueprints, component specifications, bills of materials, technical drawings, and schematics.

Answer technical and procedural questions; teach improved processes and mentor team members.

Drives project deadlines by coordinating actions and reviewing open issues and action items.

Required Education/Professional Experiences
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. Co-Op experiences is considered working experience.
- Experience with project management with demonstrated track record of successful completion and implantation projects.
- Safety and team oriented with a good work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work independently or in a group environment.
- Strong computer, technical and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and listening) and strong interpersonal skills

Strong analytical foundation of various engineering disciplines such as mechanics, statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, vibration, and materials.

Minimum of 5 years of practical experience and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding job expectations
- Proven working knowledge of paper coating or paper manufacturing
- Demonstrate a high level of time-sensitive work prioritization, accuracy, organizational and communication skills
- Proficiencies in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); knowledge in Outlook preferred.
