Energy Efficiency Project Coordinator

Resource Innovations is seeking a full-time Energy Efficiency Project Coordinator to support the implementation of utility rebate programs in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. The position is hybrid with an office located in Chandler, Arizona, and the opportunity to work from home. Travel expected to be up to 30% of the time in the local Phoenix area.

The Project Coordinator supports the outreach team by working with program trade allies, including distributors, manufacturers, contractors, and other stakeholders in maximizing their participation in utility energy efficiency rebate programs. In this role, you’ll be supporting the program team that administers a portfolio of energy efficiency programs for a large Arizona utility.

Specific responsibilities include becoming well-versed and knowledgeable about the program offerings, making and fielding phone calls from customers and contractors, visiting customer sites to review projects, coordinating with outreach team members, and supporting a variety of outreach activities and administrative tasks needed to support trade allies with participation in the programs.

The ideal candidate has experience in construction, lighting, HVAC/mechanical systems, and/or refrigeration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Educate and assist trade allies and utility customers with program participation by answering program questions, reviewing project blueprints and equipment specifications, and providing guidance on the application process.
  • Provide reliable and responsive customer service to trade allies, customers and utility representatives.
  • Proactively screen and manage incoming projects to ensure project integrity and compliance with program requirements.
  • Request and obtain appropriate project information that facilitates quick and timely project application processing.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate well with the team during the project review process resulting in a smooth and efficient application submission process.
  • Closely manage projects that begin to stagnate and take appropriate action and steps to complete or close the project after considering size, viability, timeline, etc.
  • Visit customer sites to inspect projects for program compliance.
  • Track trade ally and project communications using Salesforce CRM.
  • Administrative tasks and other reporting duties will also be required, as assigned.
  • Support the team under the direction of the manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum or a Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's degree and/or 2+ years of work experience.
  • Experience in construction industry and familiarity in reading blueprints. Understanding of commercial building systems (particularly lighting and HVAC) and/or sustainability is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, writing, verbal, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software including Excel and Word and the ability to learn and operate company proprietary computer software is required.
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and have a personal vehicle to visit customer sites
