About the Role

As the Enablement Strategy & Planning Manager for the OKTA Global Enablement team, you will be responsible for driving the operational cadences around annual, quarterly, and monthly planning for our Sales Enablement team, ensuring alignment with Okta's corporate strategy and GTM planning cycles. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our enablement strategy is both aligned and integrated with the broader organization’s goals and milestones. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Strategic Enablement Operations, you’ll create and manage processes that align the execution and clarity of roles throughout the development cycle, resulting in the scale, agility, and high performance of the organization. 

The ideal candidate is incredibly organized, picks up new ideas quickly, can synthesize a lot of information into what matters the most, is an exceptional communicator and writer, and has a knack for translating data and expressing ideas (slides, spreadsheets, presenting) into actionable insights for executive level audiences.

This role requires in-person onboarding and travel to our San Francisco, CA HQ office during the first week of employment.
 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the formal quarterly enablement planning process that facilitates the prioritization of enablement requests from various stakeholders, establishes the global enablement plan, and determines the enablement calendar for the field.
  • Create the walking deck articulating the global enablement plan that is used by the Global Enablement Leadership team to deliver the plan to the field, PMM, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with the Global Enablement Leadership team to develop and deliver cutting-edge enablement QBRs that drive awareness, improve productivity, promote collaboration, and inspire engagement across stakeholders and GTM communities.
  • Develop strong relationships with cross-functional partners and maximize those relationships to manage and facilitate quarterly prioritization planning meetings with stakeholders. 
  • Own the planning and execution of annual, quarterly, and monthly operational cadences for the Sales Enablement team, ensuring alignment with Okta's corporate and GTM GTM planning frameworks.
  • Manage the enablement strategy review cycles, ensuring we stay on track with key milestones, goals, and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a structured planning calendar that outlines key deliverables, deadlines, and review checkpoints.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the Sales Enablement strategy is tightly aligned with GTM initiatives and Okta's broader organizational goals.
  • Act as a liaison between Sales Enablement and GTM operations to ensure strategic priorities are reflected in operational plans and execution.
  • Provide insights and analysis on performance data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the coordination and facilitation of key planning sessions, workshops, and offsites, ensuring that strategic themes, goals, and operational plans are clearly communicated and actionable.
  • Lead quarterly retrospective meetings to optimize and improve the project planning process and identify organizational pain-points that impact project delivery and performance; work with relevant stakeholders on appropriate solutions.
  • Manage and track quarterly goals for the Global Enablement team. 
  • Partner with the Enablement Communications Lead to ensure quarterly priorities are included on the field enablement calendar communications plan. 
  • Ensure that planning sessions yield clear outcomes, including action plans and next steps.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the enablement planning and execution cycles, streamlining workflows, and optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that the planning process is adaptable and can scale with the growth of the organization.

Job Requirements - The Experience You’ll Bring To The Team

  • 5+ years of experience supporting GTM sellers in an enablement capacity at high-growth environments preferably within the enterprise software space.
  • Experience leading strategic planning cycles (engaging stakeholders and gathering quarterly enablement requests, QBRs, retrospectives, etc.) and managing related programs while working collaboratively with and influencing cross functional teams.
  • Sharp critical thinking, verbal communication, and relationship-building skills to influence all levels of leadership.
  • Excellent writer who uses visual best practices to build presentations that effectively communicate complex ideas to executive audiences using Google slides and Lucidcharts.
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work on multiple deliverables at a time for fast turnaround and deployment using Google sheets and Asana.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and thriving in a fast-paced environment while staying flexible through growth and change.
  • Open to new ideas with the ability to find creative solutions for complex program management challenges.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented with the proven ability to translate data into actionable recommendations tailored for their audience. 
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in business, business management or a related field is preferred. 

 

Bonus Experience You Could Bring

  • Experience in change management principles. 
  • Experience with data analytics tools (preferably Tableau). 
  • Consulting background.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:
$114,000$172,000 USD
The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$128,000$192,000 USD
