Employability Services Coordinator

Dear ActionAiders (AAH) we are looking for an Employability Services Coordinator to join our Youth Center in Thessaloniki.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, coordinate and monitor all activities of AAH’s Employability Service in the Youth Hub.
  • Provide career counselling orientation, proper advice and support to Youth, to enhance self-knowledge and career related decision making
  • Track and record all activities related to the Youth integration process into the labour market.
  • Maintain continuous communication with Youth and assist them accordingly, in close cooperation with the respective team.
  • Promote the employability services of the AAH Youth Centre to relevant stakeholders, while building and extending existing networks.
  • Organise, implement and communicate joint actions / events with potential employers to connect them together with Youth.
  • Set up and coordinate group activities for soft skills development.
  • Propose and create a portfolio of potential employers / organizations in a systematic and planned way to secure partnerships for the benefit of the Youth and the local market.
  • Coordinate Youth-driven market needs’ assessment.
  • Identify and engage with potential mentors for youth participating in the program and job opportunities relevant to Youth skills and abilities and link them to potential employers and prepare job readiness schemes
  • Participate in career days and other relevant events related to employability
  • Build relationships with relevant stakeholders to promote AAH occupational employment services and increase the number of Youth
  • Provide KPI’s indicators (key performance indicator) when required, in line with ActionAid’s monitoring and evaluation standards
  • Contribute to developing a departmental strategic plan and budget.
  • If required, monitor allocated budget activities and expenditures and adapt accordingly through the year.

Requirements

Academic degree in social or business studies (human resources, psychology, sociology, social work), or another related field.

A master’s degree preferably in Human Resources, Adult Education and development along and / or career counselling orientation will be considered as an asset.

At least (2-3) years of working experience in recruitment and/or career counselling orientation.

Excellent planning and training management skills.

Good knowledge of methodologies and practices in job search and job networking.

Proven ability in building networks and relationships with individuals and corporate partners, knowledge of the Thessaloniki labour market.

Strong interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.

Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail.

Team player with ability to work effectively in cross-functional projects and creatively in a problem-solving environment.

Ability to work under strict deadlines.

Experience and interest in working with marginalized or vulnerable population will be considered as an asset.

Excellent use (both oral & written) of the Greek and the English language.

Very good understanding of human rights, global poverty & development issues.

Availability to travel domestic and abroad.
