Only candidates located in Tallahassee, FL area or have the ability to travel there up to 50% of the time will be considered for this position.

Position Summary:

  • Job Title: Project Management Advisor
  • Full Time or Part Time: FT/PT 20 to 40 hours per week
  • Temporary/Seasonal/Regular: Temporary
  • Compensation: $55-$65/hour

  • Travel/Location: Onsite in the Tallahassee, FL area up to 50% of the time for travel/deployment

Mission of Role/Position Summary:

The Project Management Advisor is responsible for assisting the company and clients with strategic and analytical project support. This role requires on-site presence and general project management planning and execution skills. This role will provide advanced support, advice and analytical services to ensure client satisfaction. The position will be guided in all activities by ACDC’s Corporate Values Platform.

Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analyzing the project needs and creating project charters.
  • Ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Responsible for stakeholder analysis and workflows for designated project.
  • Perform routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard analysis and planning techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Advise on high level complex project needs to ensure objectives are being met.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.

Requirements

Experience and Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, business administration, project management or a related field. Equivalency: Professional experience beyond minimum requirements, in a related field may substitute the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience managing small and large-scale projects, business analysis, operations, etc.
  • 5+ years customer service experience
  • 5+ years of project oversight including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and meeting contract requirements.
  • At least 1-year direct leadership experience or experience leading complex portions of projects teams/tasks, program management or full scope programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.

Experience and Education Preferred

  • 3-5 years knowledge and/or experience in two or more Emergency Management Disciplines preferred.
  • Knowledge/Experience with of NQS standards and credentials process preferred.
  • 3-5 years Lean methodology experience preferred.
  • Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) preferred.
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Project Management Advisor may have lead responsibilities within projects, but no direct reports on a full-time basis.

Expected Hours of Work

Schedule may vary and require work on evenings and weekends and dependability and punctuality are paramount.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 50% travel is expected for this position.
  • Must be willing to travel and deploy to client sites for prolonged periods of time.

Physical Demands

  • Mobility required on-site with clients.
  • Sitting or standing for hours at a time.
  • Ability to work at a computer for prolonged periods of time as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the day and as needed.

Work Environment

  • Work may will be on-site with clients ex: EOC, hospital, debris sites or local government buildings with remote work when available at the designated home location agreed upon at time of hire.
  • If the remote work site locations change, ACDC Human Resources must be made aware, and leadership needs to approve any site changes for business registration and payroll tax purposes.

Additional Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must pass company and any applicable client background check and reference check upon offer of employment.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States is required.
