Palo Alto Networks is building a world-class finance organization and is looking for a top-notch Director to join our EMEA & LATAM Theater Sales Finance team. We’re looking for a self-starter with strong analytical skills, an effective communicator who enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, and a leader passionate for driving change in a dynamic fast-paced environment – all-in-one.

In this individual contributor role, you will partner with the leaders of some of our largest regions (Central, South and Emerging) and their go to market teams to help build and execute their growth strategy.  You will also collaborate with different Sales teams to understand and meet their financial needs

You will use critical thinking and fact-based analysis to solve problems and challenge the status quo. You will also develop best-in-class value propositions through action-oriented decision-making and reporting. Finally, you will use exceptional skills in financial modeling and analytics to solve financial problems.

Your Impact

  • Act as a trusted Finance advisor and strategic partner to Regional Sales Leaders, liaising and discussing with leadership across the Theater on challenges and opportunities, providing insight and financial recommendations
  • Provide accurate and timely financial analysis and key performance reports to Sales leadership, enabling informed decision-making and optimizing resource allocation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and prioritize investment opportunities, assess trade-offs and risks, all with a mind-set to optimize ROI and align with budgetary constraints and strategic objectives
  • Lead Regional budgeting, forecasting and long term financial planning activities and drive accountability 
  • Build, maintain, and improve models to refine near-term and long-term bookings growth, expense forecast and profitability projections
  • Set and drive accountability for key financial metrics such as discounting and margin levels across our complex product portfolio
  • Own and lead ad hoc strategic initiatives end to end

Your Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field required, MBA or Masters preferred or equivalent military experience required
  • 12+ years of professional experience in finance or related roles
  • Experience in IT industry or SaaS business models is a plus
  • Excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills with the ability to partner and effectively communicate financial information with all levels of the organization
  • Strong eye for business and critical thinking, with a focus on driving financial performance and optimizing resources
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills - own the end-to-end recommendation process
  • Ability to work across cultures and communicate with different stakeholders across EMEA & LATAM
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment
  • Fluent German language required and experience within the Germany IT market will enable shaping of our strategy in this key growth opportunity
