This role
We are searching for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer and play a critical role in deploying our our cutting-edge system revolutionizing data center operations. In this challenging and rewarding position, you will develop and deploy cutting-edge tools into a customer-facing embedded Linux platform, ensuring impeccable functionality and performance. Your expertise will be pivotal in creating a long-term testing and reliability strategy, developing and supporting an automated build environment, and establishing electronics and optical calibration methodologies. You will collaborate across all our teams, from electronics to optics.

Areas of contribution

  • Design, develop, and deploy tools and applications for a customer-facing embedded Linux platform, ensuring robustness and optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive long-term testing and reliability strategy to ensure the continuous performance of our embedded systems.
  • Create and maintain an automated build environment to streamline development processes and enhance productivity.
  • Develop and deploy innovative electronics and optical calibration methodologies to support our platform's accuracy and reliability.
  • Work closely with the electronics and optical design teams to integrate software and hardware seamlessly, ensuring the highest standards of functionality and performance.

Requirements (necessary skills for this role):

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software engineering, with a strong background in developing for embedded Linux platforms.
  • Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages, with a clear understanding of their use in developing deterministic software that can run flawlessly for extended periods.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing long-term testing and reliability strategies for embedded systems.
  • Experience in developing and supporting automated build environments.
  • Knowledge and experience in electronics and optical calibration methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including electronics engineers and optical designers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Nice-to-haves (we will prioritize candidates that also have these skills):

  • Experience with integrated systems built for data centers or similar environments.
