About the Position
This is an embedded position, Global Intelligence Analyst, with a not-for-profit organisation with a global reach. The role is expected to maximise the client’s use of internal and external information sets to anticipate, identify and analyse threats that could affect the safety and operations of their and its staff globally. As well as manage investigations into subjects of interest and support the organisation’s crisis management functions.
About the Team
FNGI Advisory provides bespoke intelligence to clients to help them reduce risk and optimise growth. We work directly with clients in advisory and consultative fashion, answering some of the most critical questions about their business and operations. The team works closely with the Commercial and Editorial/Research teams to engage with clients and deliver highest quality analysis.
About You
You have a track record of delivering relevant tactical, operational and strategic geopolitical intelligence analysis and briefings to global business, government and international organisations.
Under the close supervision and management of Dragonfly they will be responsible for the research, collection, analysis and assessment of all source intelligence with real or potential impact to the client’s interests across the required countries, activities and research areas.
You have a combination of geopolitical, intelligence and security experience. You are able to write well and articulate your analysis in grammatically correct English and research and present information effectively to illustrate and support your assessments.
This is a contractor position for a term of 6-9 months.
What To Expect In This Position
- Write analytical reports on geopolitical and security issues across countries globally, and develop deep knowledge and expertise
- Take personal initiative, and develop the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver solutions under minimal guidance.
- Apply research skills and ability to rapidly digest and evaluate large quantities of information and distill this into clear, concise, relevant, and usable information
- Develop methodological and writing skills in producing intelligence briefings, including but not limited to travel security reports, situation reports, alerts, and geopolitical risk assessments
- Work with the highest levels of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
- Become confident in working under pressure and able to function in a fast-paced, changing environment within tight timelines
- This is a contractor position for a term of 4-6 months.
What Sets You Apart
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in intelligence, geopolitical or security-related disciplines.
- Excellent research skills and ability to rapidly digest and evaluate large quantities of information and distill this into clear, concise, relevant, and usable information
- Have a strong ability to communicate orally and in written form in English
- Excellent attention to detail
- High level competency with MS Office tools
- Able to quickly build and maintain trust-based relationships
- Excellent English written and verbal communication
