You will manage and lead a team of IT experts (BAs, software developers, support specialists, subject matter experts) to serve business units in the assigned geographical region. The team leader’s job is to ensure that the provided IT solutions meet the requirements of the business units.
As part of your second scope of responsibilities, you will be an eLIMS NG Project Manager responsible for successful deployment and roll-out of already developed new generation version of our Laboratory Information Management System in the countries of the CEE region.
Responsibilities and duties
Team Leading:
- Ensures a collaborative culture exists within the departments, its (external) development partners and their product teams, promoting team building and ensuring the entire team is engaged.
- Identifies and supports the team with removing any impediments/distractions that interfere with the team's ability to deliver against their commitments.
- Coaches the team in creating the product backlog, sprint backlogs and writing user stories in the most pragmatic way.
- Makes sure the team is not working on too many stories/tasks at once and helping them get into a flow of starting and completing work in a predictable manner.
- Removes all impediments to progress, facilitates meetings and enables people to resolve conflicts.
- Leads or facilitates workshops with business.
- Structurally measures progress and maturity of the teams.
- Works with other Teams to increase effectiveness of agile ways of working in the organization.
- Provides leadership, support, and guidance to Center Team in terms of project management.
- Provides informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback in the annual performance evaluation process to identify and develop talent.
- Manages the staffing through the appropriate hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR.
- Ensures and promotes the development of the area management team/succession planning through coaching, training, and leadership development.
- Reviews analysis of performance including financial and productivity data for area and makes the appropriate changes in strategies, goals, and objectives responding to status and conditions.
- Controls goals achievement of direct reports through set up of appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), regular management and individual meetings. Implement the necessary actions when results are not in line with objectives given.
eLIMS NG Project Management:
- Ensures high availability of the new generation IT Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) running on-premise and in cloud and effectively manage the run cost.
- Manages release of eLIMS-NG application to lab sites across the CEE region.
- Ensures professional and effective communication with Business Unit Managers in the CEE countries.
- Manages appropriate trainings for business representatives and end-users to fully use capabilities of the newly developed solution.
- Ensures that the IT software platforms are stable, reliable, performing and sufficiently scalable for future volumes by working intensively with the key IT Groups and leaders.
- Ensures the IT delivery of the business roadmap aligned with your peer managing the business requirements.
- Promotes and demonstrates core principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility (being an ambassador for the business).
- Ensures compliance with established company and regulatory guidelines and procedures to provide high quality service and outstanding customer care.
Education Background:
- Educational background Bachelor level IT or Engineering.
Experience:
- More than 3 years of experience in team management (5 FTE min).
- More than 3 years of experience in mid-size projects management.
- Experience in maximizing delivered value by close cooperation with the business – internal customer-oriented person.
- Experience in ERP like software implementation in a mid-size company.
- Experience aligning IT with business initiatives and IT initiatives improving cooperation and performance.
- 5+ years of overall IT Experience.
Languages requirement:
- Fluent English is a must.
