Electronics Assembler

Blackline Safety is currently hiring skilled Electronics Assemblers to perform a variety of assembly tasks including soldering, test, assembly and packaging. This role reports to our facility in Webster, Texas and is not remote.

Responsibilities:

1. Component Assembly:

  • Assemble electronic components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Use precision hand tools, soldering irons, and other equipment to perform intricate assembly tasks.

2. Soldering and Wiring:

  • Perform soldering tasks to connect and secure electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Follow wiring diagrams and instructions to connect and route wires and cables within electronic assemblies.

3. Quality Control:

  • Conduct visual inspections of components and finished assemblies to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies during the assembly process.

4. Testing and Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct functional tests on completed electronic assemblies.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing.

5. Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, configurations, and test results.
  • Complete production and quality control documentation as required.

6. Material Handling:

  • Manage and organize electronic components, ensuring proper storage and inventory control.
  • Notify supervisors of any shortages or discrepancies in materials.

7. Workstation Maintenance:

  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and equipped with necessary tools and materials.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.

8. Adherence to Safety Standards:

  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents to supervisors.

9. Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production goals and timelines.

Skills/Qualifications/Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in electronics assembly is a plus.
  • Proven experience in electronic assembly, soldering, and component integration.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Attention to detail and precision in manual assembly tasks.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering equipment, and other assembly tools.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components and their functions.
  • Ability to work in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.

Safety Footwear:

Candidates are required to wear certified ASTM standards to prevent injury from specific hazards. At minimum, safety footwear in Blackline US Facilities must be 1/75 and C30 unless otherwise specified. Applicants must have access to a pair of the right safety footwear prior to starting employment.
