The Electronic Technician - Printed Circuit Boards will support the production, assembly and repair of electronic/PCB components for Weatherford drilling tools. In the PCB Lab, the Electronic Technician will utilize BOMs, Technical Procedures and Work Instructions to assemble/dissemble, troubleshoot, test, and repair equipment/tools for the field.

- Assemble, repair, and test Printed Circuit Boards per engineered drawings
- Perform final inspection of completed components for accuracy and functionality
- Proper material handling of equipment/tools

- Willing to multi-task and take on team projects.
- Do routine equipment check before/after procedures.
- Keep work area clean and organized. 5S methodology.
Experience & Education
REQUIRED
- Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent
- 4-6+ years of related experience
- Printed Circuit Board/Printed Circuit Assembly experience required
- Experience with manufacturing processes and assembly procedures
- Soldering Experience
PREFERRED
- Lean/Kaizen experience
- Compliance with I.S.O. 9000/2000 system
REQUIRED:
- Proficient with electronic assembly and test equipment, including: soldering stations, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, digital multimeters, Electronic Load, Frequency Counter, etc.
- Soldering skills
- Electronics component level troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of 5s methodology and lean manufacting principles.
- Proficient at interpreting electronic and mechanical drawings, manufacturing prints, Technical procedures, Work Instructions, and B.O.M.s
- Proficient with measuring instruments/devices and hand and power tools (e.g. tapes, gauges, micrometer, calipers, etc.)
- Time management.
- Basic computer skills
- Strong English communication skills (written, verbal and reading comprehension)
