Hours: 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with four weekends a year + overtime available!

Marshalls Bricks and Masonry brings over 100 years expertise in the walling sector. We design, manufacture, and deliver bricks, walling and masonry with a specialism in low-carbon concrete bricks. We are part of the Marshalls PLC, the UK’s leading manufacturer of hard landscaping, building and roofing products!

We’re recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical bias to join our Maltby Production site to undertake engineering tasks (EWR/PPMs/Breakdowns), ensuring a proactive approach to preventing equipment failure. You will contribute to the overall safe operation of plant and equipment, safety, quality, waste and OEE targets. You'll need to be able to commute to our Maltby site on a daily basis.

What's the mission?
Working as part of our engineering team, your main responsibility will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and equipment maintenance.

You’ll work on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic control systems and will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site. Your time will be split between maintenance activity and operating the plant, producing high-quality decorative architectural masonry and other concrete products in an environment where safety, quality, waste and OEE targets are a norm!

Working 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a 3-week shift pattern (6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm and 10pm - 6am) and working 4 weekends every year.

Our Maltby Manufacturing site was opened in January 2021 and with lots more growth plans for the future – the site really is at the heart of Marshalls Bricks & Masonry production! What are the mission-critical skills?

• Good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering
• Apprentice trained Engineer to NVQ Level 3 standard in an Engineering discipline
• Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics and pneumatics will be an advantage
• Experience in fabrication and welding would be beneficial
• Team player with attention to detail
• Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements
• Experience in mechanical fault finding, defect rectification and routine maintenance activities
• Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations
• Excellent level of English, oral and written
