Fluence is looking for an Electrical Integration Engineer (m/f/d) with experience in the renewable energy industry of solar and/or battery-based energy storage. This position is within the EMEA Solutions Engineering team and will provide support in the integration of Fluence Products into the regional engineering designs for BESS projects and related activities.

Your responsibilities

-          Mastering the understanding of Fluence product offerings and contrast their features based on important technical parameters, product capabilities and EMEA project requirements. Subsequently, assess tradeoffs for implementation in the EMEA engineering deliverables.
-          Development and review of technical specifications
-          Serve as primary interface on technical issues with engineering teams, product management, field installation, commissioning and services groups
-          Perform quality control of all deliverables within the scope of Engineering
-          Support, guide, and facilitate internal and external Root Cause Analysis, Lessons Learned, and Management of Change activities
-          Develop and modify existing standard CAD drawings to reflect customer-specific project requirements
-          Perform electrical design duties associated with the standardization of regional engineering solutions
-          Technical review of documents provided by suppliers or contractors
-          Work closely with the Principal / Senior Engineers to provide deliverables to a variety of projects
-          Use Agile methodology, Scrum work flow and JIRA ticketing system as tools to perform daily work and coordinate with other team members
-          Executing tasks related to Fluence’ safety KPIs
-          Travel throughout EMEA

Your skills

-          Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering or related field
-          Minimum 5 years of professional work experience as a field engineer, design engineer, or project engineer in the electric power industry
-          Desired work experience with PV plants, Battery Storage Systems in the EMEA region
-          Experience in low voltage electrical system design, e.g., cables sizing, auxiliary load calculations
-          Experience with power conversion (AC/DC, DC/DC), industrial lithium-ion batteries, transformers, SCADA, ground fault monitors – specification, review, selection and operation
-          Good knowledge of applicable codes, standards and regulations used in the EMEA Region for electrical equipment and installations
-          Experience in Python programming is a big plus
-          Familiarity with production or procurement engineering and data analysis
-          Solution-oriented mindset
-          Good communication skills
-          Fluency in English, German / other language skills beneficial
