Electrical Engineering Technician

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.

We are looking for an Electrical Integration Technician that has the skills and patience to assemble complex electrical systems.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Prototype Development: Assemble, test, and debug electrical prototypes to the component level, ensuring precision and functionality
  • Procedure Development: Take the lead in crafting procedures and maintaining detailed records of test, assembly and other prototyping activities
  • Debugging Expertise: Assume a pivotal role in identifying and resolving persistent issues at both component and system levels
  • Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training and technical support to fellow team members

Requirements: 

  • Professional Experience: Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related industry, showcasing a robust background in electrical engineering, testing, and integration
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate exceptional aptitude in understanding and debugging complex electrical systems, coupled with the flexibility to tackle challenges beyond your primary expertise
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Technical Knowledge: Display proficiency in reading schematics and a fundamental understanding of electrical communication protocols and electronics. Ensure precise assembly and integration of electrical components
  • Safety and Dependability: Maintain a safety-conscious mindset, coupled with unwavering dependability and a positive can-do attitude. Uphold the reliability and security of the robot's electrical systems

Bonus Qualifications: 

  • CAD Proficiency: Possess experience with CAD software, particularly CADIA, enhancing your ability to contribute to the design and optimization of robot components
  • Robotics Background: Benefit from prior experience in building and debugging robots, offering invaluable insights into overcoming challenges unique to robotic systems
