About the Role:

As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will play a supportive role within our hardware team. A senior electrical engineer will help mentor you as you help define test configurations, assist the Quality Assurance (QA) team with testing, and participate in root cause analysis with the Electrical Engineering (EE) team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside seasoned engineers.

You will be encouraged to approach challenges with creativity and insight, learning from those around you. Your contributions will help foster a positive company culture as you collaborate with your peers. This role is ideal for a senior undergraduate, graduate student, or recent graduate passionate about hands-on electrical engineering. You’ll have the chance to work with cutting-edge technology and develop your skills in a collaborative environment.

The intern will be required to work in-office at our Buffalo, NY location.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist cross-functional teams in reviewing electrical architectures, schematics, and layouts.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to define test setups and execute tests.
  • Help design prototype and test assemblies.
  • Support the development of electrical test plans and strategies.
  • Contribute to writing clear and organized test reports.
  • Aid in maintaining lab space and assist with deriving technical specifications based on product-level requirements.
  • Debug hardware issues and recommend design changes

What We’re Looking For:

  • Senior year undergraduate student, graduate student, or recent graduate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and tools, including oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • Some experience in hardware testing is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong interest in hands-on experience and learning about testing complex systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from senior engineers.
  • Firmware expertise is a plus
