We’re seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our business in North America during the summer of 2025. You will be responsible for assisting in the design, development and testing of electronic circuits and components for hardware systems.  After a successful summer an Electrical Engineering Intern will get hands-on experience in a Fortune 500 organization working alongside senior engineers to evaluate new technologies for future products.   Our summer internship program serves as a talent pipeline for our Early Careers Program throughout the organization.

We are considering individuals who are excited about working in our state of the art facility in  Sayre, PA.

What you will be doing

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of electronic circuits and components for hardware systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs with firmware, software, and mechanical components.

  • Support the development of schematic designs and PCB layouts using industry-standard tools such as Altium or Eagle.

  • Assist with lab testing, including setting up test equipment, conducting measurements, and analyzing data.

What you will need to bring to the program

Avery Dennison has a long history of being an industry leader. Your history is important to us. It should include the following:

Education

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (junior status) or Master’s degree with a focus on Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

  • Bachelors  & Masters degrees must come from an accredited US institution.  Sponsorship is not available at this time.  Students must be domestic.

  • Strong understanding of of electrical circuit design, analysis and testing

  • Exposure to PCB layout, design and manufacturing process a plus

 

Preferred Experience 

  • Previous internship/co-op experience or relevant work experience

  • Experience via student organizations, such as Engineers without Borders, IEEE, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Chemical Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers etc. 

  • Volunteerism or similar activities

*Must have reliable transportation to and from work in Sayre, PA.

*Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Travel

  • Ability to travel 10 - 20 percent of the time
