eLearning Developer

  • Develop eLearning based on existing class content. Requires knowledge of how to adjust content so that it suits eLearning format, without losing quality, accuracy, and value of the content organization and exercises.
  • Include simulations, voiceovers, quizzes, and other interactive elements; requires knowledge of existing features in eLearning development software, as well as an interest in learning about, testing, and establishing state-of-the-industry new features that help users learn.
  • Create appropriate images when existing images don’t match a simulation; requires ability to quickly get up to speed on standard MicroStrategy software user procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve straightforward issues in Adobe Learning Manager platform. Requires ability to learn quickly about Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Create videos and troubleshoot video issues.
  • Work within a team, with a strong ability to take ownership and complete tasks independently, while keeping teammates and wider impact of tasks in mind and communicating appropriate information regularly.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum BA/BS.
  • 2+ years’ experience in instructional design or curriculum design.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills for Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience working with authoring and design tools for online learning: Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate or similar is a must.
  • Basic to intermediate experience with graphics design and multimedia tools: Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, Camtasia.
  • Experience researching and analyzing information from a variety of sources.
  • Success with troubleshooting technical issues related to the above software and outputs.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to react quickly to a fast paced, changing work environment. Strong time-management and organizational skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Creativity, proactive and can-do attitude, high autonomy.

  • Experience with formal instructional design methods and knowledge of adult learning theory.
  • Ability to customize and adjust content to meet learner needs.
  • Ability to independently manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Previous experience with Learning Management System (LMS) administration, publishing, and reporting functions.
