Today, rocket launch options are slow, expensive, and unreliable. Stoke is building the world’s most efficient fully and rapidly reusable rocket designed to fly daily that will radically increase access to space and open up the space economy to safeguard our precious home, Earth.
Description
Reusable systems are the key to seamlessly connecting Earth and space. A key ingredient to making the construction of such reusable systems feasible and efficient is a set of high-quality and well-prepared safety programs and standards that keep our employees safe each day. As the EHS Specialist, you are the first face of EHS support. You are shop floor-based and customer obsessed. You identify, manage, and execute proactive safety projects, EHS requests, and corrective actions. You will also work to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs that align with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and the operating system of Stoke. Additionally, the EHS Specialist will provide ongoing safety training and education for employees, fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the Kent manufacturing facilities.
Collaboration and communication are key in this role. You will work directly with the manufacturing and engineering teams to guide and facilitate continuous improvement activities that increase safety without impacting quality or efficiency. You will also work to integrate safe practices into daily operations and promote a proactive approach to daily risk management. This role requires excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and critical thinking, allowing you to seamlessly integrate with our teams as you will be the key point of contact for all safety-related matters. The successful candidate will be highly organized, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once, and be committed to driving a positive safety culture.
