We are seeking an EDW Data Engineer for a 6-12 month contract role onsite in the south Denver area. The ideal candidate will be a self-starting individual who is able to drive into details and quickly provide summary level readouts of the source data. This role will be onsite in the Denver area Monday-Friday during normal business hours and will be responsible for the following:
- Work hand-on Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and DataMarts
- Collects, evaluates, and prepares data analysis and/or other complex statistics on databases for a specific business unit.
- Prepares data quality analysis (DQA) artifacts, including recommendations and data profiles used in the analysis and interpretation of data as appropriate.
- Ensures quality control of databases through the development and maintenance of test plans and quality control procedures and may assist in development and implementation of measurement systems.
- Discover, analyze, profile and document findings on source data systems.
- Assist the development team during the dev phase to resolve data issues and understand data constraints.
- Once development activities are completed, you will drive the initial system testing of the final application data output to ensure it is consistent with the source data system.
- Proactively drive to improve processes and methods around Data Analysis.
- 3+ years of relevant experience to this role (EDW- RDBMS and/or SnowFlake)
- Experience with helping define standards and procedures; refining methods and techniques for information modeling, recommend tools to improve delivery timeframes is a huge plus
- Experience with SQL, Erwin data modeling tools is desired
- Experience Snowflake and/or other relational database required.
- Experience with very large databases and knowledge of the communication domain preferred.
- Strong communication skills as the candidate will be required to interact on a daily basis with all levels within the organization, including developers, architects, business users and management.
This 6-12 month + contract will be onsite in the south Denver area. This role will report to the office Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
