We are currently looking for an Editor to support our Diversity and Inclusion Data Sets
ROLE:
Our Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Editor performs editorial functions related to the ongoing development and creation of media databases and content, specifically in the audiovisual sphere. The ideal candidate loves entertainment data, with a focus on diversity and inclusion and is passionate about celebrity data, is familiar and up to date with TV/Film programming and the media sector in general. This person will be responsible for performing high-volume, complex manipulations on the entertainment information that forms the core of Gracenote’s media database, with special focus on creating and enhancing data associated with Diversity and Inclusion across Top Content (Top Series, Top Movies, Keywords etc.).
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Acquire and record correct information regarding D & I data from a variety of sources including but not limited to studios, distributors and press releases.
• Edit and maintain diversity data, create and curate information on celebrity, production companies, movies and shows.
• Investigate, confirm and document questionable content by consulting industry associations, researched information providers and internal teams.
• Consolidate data content and information in databases.
• Maintain accurate database information and provide timely updating of programming information.
• Develop and recommend solutions to editorial, communication and technical procedural and operational needs
• Act as a customer service representative concerning product content and editorial policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
• The ability to commence asap is highly desirable.
• Effective writing, grammatical, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Preferably with a background in research with a focus on Diversity and Inclusion data
• We are looking for a quality-focused individual with a high level of attention to detail.
• Must be able to work accurately under deadlines and willing to work outside regular business hours.
• Windows proficiency and/or experience using other computer software and databases with excellent keyboarding skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across global teams to achieve a common goal and to establish standards (Specialist)
• Strong grasp of Google Tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and MS Suite
