Aztec is getting ready to launch its network to production.
As Ecosystem Lead, you will be our first team member dedicated entirely to the growth of our ecosystem.
You will be responsible for establishing and growing communities of early adopters for products on top of the Aztec network, attracting talent and companies looking to build products or protocols on Aztec themselves, and nurturing a community of people who are keen to see Aztec's overall adoption grow.
You will have wide latitude to shape your team's strategy and structure. You will be working closely with c-suite leadership, and other leaders within Aztec to define our external image and tone.
Aztec has earmarked a significant budget for grants and other kinds of financial support to help bootstrap our ecosystem, for which you will be responsible.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct market research and collaborate with leadership and product teams to develop Aztec’s ecosystem growth strategy
- Design and implement growth initiatives by forming strategic partnerships and overseeing the grants program
- Establish incubation program to provide resources and structured support to high potential partners that are building apps and core infrastructure that are native to Aztec
- Collaborate with the marketing team to produce relevant ecosystem focused content and scale the community experience to increase awareness and engagement
- Oversee our external and internal (online and offline) events efforts, and ensure events strategy is aligned with our ecosystem efforts
- Coordinate with the product and partnerships team to drive ecosystem expansion in line with product and integrations roadmap
- Align internal teams to provide technical support to strategic ecosystem projects and ensure partners’ feedback is incorporated into the product roadmap
- Build relationships with ecosystem investors and strategic partners to support ecosystem projects with fundraising, product development, and go to market efforts
- Define and track KPIs and metrics for acquisition funnel and ecosystem success
Qualifications:
- You have experience getting developers or founders see and understand the potential of a new technology. You have created internal and external facing content, which helped explain important and potentially complex ideas clearly. Ideally, you are technical.
- You are good at collecting and interpreting feedback from users and early adopters, and translating it for the benefit of product or engineering teams.
- You can effectively drive projects independently and coordinate stakeholders across the company, manage multiple initiatives while maintaining a high quality of work.
- You are comfortable getting your hands dirty and you care about the details. You are equally happy spending time on the front lines in Discord or Github, organizing in-person events, setting strategy for your team, and confidently directing significant financial resources.
- You are opinionated about crypto and the future of technology. You are excited about the future that Aztec and programmable cryptography enables.
- You are driven and care about outcomes over process. Ideally, you have helped a company or ecosystem go from 0 to 1, and want to do it again. Multi-year efforts do not intimidate you.
Nice-to-have:
- Located in the United States or the United Kingdom
- Deep understanding of the blockchain landscape and other ecosystems

- Experience in incubating projects or incubating an ecosystem
