As our eCommerce Merchandiser, you will report directly to the Senior Manager, eCommerce Merchandising and be responsible for assisting in the formulation of online merchandising plans, providing direction and overseeing the execution of these for Balsam Hill’s North America websites.
What you'll be doing:
Online Merchandising Planning
- Shares in the development of site merchandising plans for various onsite content including site navigation, landing pages, homepage, product pages and more, to support new assortment and project strategies.
- Uses data to provide information on outcomes of strategies to be used for future plans.
- Develops strategies for products recommended to customers based on buying history and coordinate execution (cross-sells).
- Keeps our product pages to visual standard.
- Works cross functionally to develop site campaigns, plans and content.
- Supports online merchandising roadmap initiatives to optimize user experience.
Project Planning and Management
- Provides direction for the task creation on project management tools for deliverables that support site merchandising plans.
- Reviews dependencies and considerations and includes these in the planning of tasks and timings to ensure a smooth execution of the plans.
- Understands risks and formulates mitigation measures to guarantee minimal business impact.
- Coordinates with the Web Operations, Product Information Management, Digital Asset Management, SEO, Product Management, Marketing and Creative teams to accomplish site merchandising deliverables within set parameters and timelines.
- Reviews and signs off on tasks assigned to verify accuracy and quality of the end result for all tasks within the project.
Site and User Experience Audit
- Performs site audits to identify gaps and inaccuracies in the information, asset or link that affects over-all user experience.
- Understands site structure, pages, and integrations and identifies and reports the issues based on the audit.
Site Performance Reporting
- Prepares and presents site performance reports to various stakeholders.
Documentation
- Documents internal process and bridges identified gaps to ensure efficient process flows.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs other duties that maybe assigned from time to time.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Business Management, or Economics.
- Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of eCommerce related experience, previous site merchandising experience preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for teamwork and collaboration, with an ability to build constructive and effective relationships with broad group of business partners.
- A self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail, highly organized, deadline-driven and goal- and results-oriented.
- Extremely flexible/adaptable attitude; enjoyment of a “startup” mentality.
- Highly literate in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Outlook; Experience working with Google Analytics and Power BI is a plus.
Location: The eCommerce Merchandiser position is a work-from-home position for Balsam International Unlimited Philippine ROHQ in Manila. Team members in the Philippines are located within Metro Manila, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, and Tarlac areas only.
Our must-haves:
- Must be open to joining some face-to-face gatherings, like our monthly functional meetings and quarterly teamwide events.
- Must have a back-up laptop or desktop for use, if primary laptop encounters issues.
- Must have a fast, reliable DSL, Fiber or Broadband connection (not mobile or broadband stick) as the primary internet connection with a minimum actual speed of 10MBPS.
- Must have a back-up internet connection of the same speed, if primary connection becomes spotty.
Status: This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.
