Job title: Early Childhood Educator & Community Resource Specialist
The Early Childhood Educator & Community Resource Specialist is a vital role at the West County First 5 Center, responsible for engaging with the community to increase awareness among Black and African American families with young children about Center programs and providing educational activities and resource connections to all participants at the Center. This position serves as a bridge between the Center and the community, fostering warm, welcoming relationships; delivering parent/child interactive classes; and offering personalized parenting support alongside information on available community resources.

The West County First 5 Center offers free activities in San Pablo that help parents nurture and support their young children so they grow up healthy, happy, and learning. Our programs focus on early learning opportunities for children, child development, parent education and leadership, and connections to community resources. Classes are for children ages 0-5 years and their parents to participate together in a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. Our participants are dedicated to their children’s potential to thrive, and our team is dedicated to partnering with parents on this journey.
