ORGANIZATION
The Earl Monroe New Renaissance Basketball School (EMNRBS) is a charter, co-ed, tuition-free high school. With a total student body of 440 boys and girls, we seek to foster a unique, innovative, hands-on learning environment. This school is the first specialty high school in the entire country for basketball, but NOT for the PLAYING of the game. Our Founding Trustee, former NBA Commissioner David Stern, often said, “A Ball and a Book Can Change the World". Our community promotes a commitment to excellence, social responsibility, high achievement, and rigorous programs that empower and inspire students and those who facilitate their learning. All students will be challenged and supported in their drive to achieve wisdom, service, community, and leadership journey.

OPPORTUNITY
The ideal candidate demonstrates a proven record of leadership, possesses experience working at the high school level, and is proactive and data-driven. They create a welcoming school environment for students to develop literacy and SEL skills, displaying a passion for student engagement. They support the development and tracking of student programming needs and possess a growth mindset. They adequately address student and staff concerns and communicate specific school information to students, staff, and families. Above all, they have a passion for working with adolescents in a community with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

The Earl Monroe New Renaissance Basketball School offers a competitive starting salary of $90,000 and a comprehensive benefits package, professional development opportunities, and an extraordinary work environment; this is a 12-month position.
