OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION
- You will be required to oversee the daily operational delivery of the Security, Maintenance, Landscaping and Cleaning services to the premium standards that both ABM and Gyle Management Team expect whilst working closely the other site Duty Manager.
- The Duty Manager will effectively assume complete responsibility on a day-to-day basis with support from the Operations Manager.
- You will be required to ensure that the shopping centre both internally and externally including the management suite, all public areas, toilets, service yards and car parks are cleaned to a level of service which exceeds the clients’ expectations and are kept safe through a planned and proactive.
- Actively manage recruitment, induction training, developing and retraining team members.
- Actively manage all aspects of HR in line with ABM policies and procedures with the support of ABM Human Resources Team.
- Ensure the site is fully compliant with all aspects of Health & Safety with the support of the ABM Health and Safety Team.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
This role will include a variety of tasks including the following:
- To responsibly manage all aspects of the soft services at Gyle Shopping Centre in line with company policies and procedures.
- Oversee the daily operation of the External Services, Maintenance and Landscaping teams onsite to ensure all operations are fully compliant.
- Oversee the daily operation of the Security and Cleaning Teams when required.
- Provide essential operational support to the Centre Management Team.
- Ensure that the teams exceed the monthly KPI service levels.
- Liase with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that all teams members are fully trained in all aspects of their role.
- To control the delivery of staff rosters, to ensure that manning levels are always maintained.
- Complete monthly payroll.
- Carry out daily audits to ensure high standards at evident at all times, compiling a daily report on this audit to ensure that any issues are brought to the attention of the management team.
- To ensure that any training requirements are completed in a timely manner, and that the training matrix is updated accordingly.
- Prioritise all incidents ensuring that all key personnel are kept fully informed ensuring that all reports are completed in a timely manner.
- Deliver excellent leadership, communication, and motivation to the teams on a daily basis.
- Ensure that staff on site are fully conversant with their individual tasks.
- Manage the incident and accident reporting procedures.
- Ensure all assignment instructions and risk assessments are updated and meet the need of the site.
- Ensure that all HR related case specific to team members onsite are followed up and actioned.
- Ensure all team members carry out their duties in a correct and timely manner.
- Manage the maintenance and correct/safe usage of all equipment on site ensuring any faults are reported and resolved in a timely manner.
- Ensure correct usage of cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations.
- Ensure all team members are familiar with and adhere to on site health and safety policies.
- Ensure welfare needs of all team members are addressed in a prompt manner obtaining advice and guidance in line with ABM policy and procedures.
- Maintain an excellent relationship with all on site parties including retailers.
- Ensure we maintain a “one team” approach with the centre management and ABM team.
- Undertake any reasonable duties as requested to meet the needs of both the client and the operational needs of the business.
Essential
- Valid SIA Security Licence.
- Valid CCTV licence desirable.
- Minimum 5 years security and cleaning management.
- Excellent IT literacy skills
- Strong customer service focus with attention to detail.
