The Driver performs the following job responsibilities:
- Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate the assigned vehicle (e.g., car, truck, bus, taxi, delivery van, etc.) safely and responsibly, following all traffic laws and regulations.
- Route Planning: Plan and determine the most efficient and safe routes for each trip, considering factors like traffic, weather, and road conditions.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and fuel levels prior to every journey.
- Passenger Transport: Provide a safe and comfortable experience, including assisting with boarding and disembarking, handling luggage or cargo, and ensuring passenger safety.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo safely and securely, following industry-specific protocols and guidelines.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with passengers or clients, providing excellent customer service when required.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of mileage, trips, fuel consumption, and other relevant information as required by the employer.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies or accidents, including contacting emergency services, providing first aid if necessary, and ensuring the safety of passengers or cargo.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulations, including hours-of-service rules (for commercial drivers) and vehicle weight limits.
- Reporting: Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents to the appropriate authorities or employer as required.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Good physical condition, as some jobs may involve heavy lifting or long hours of driving.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and respond to emergencies appropriately.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Desirable:
- Armoured Vehicle (c class wheeled) experience.
- Defence or Security driver trained.
- Ability to drive outside of Ukraine.
- English language skills A2 or higher.
Training you should have completed:
- Driver Safety Training.
- Customer Service Training.
- Emergency Response Training.
