🎩 Your Role:
You will play a key role in the handling and packaging, and transportation of artworks, antiques, and interior design objects, ensuring their integrity and safety at every step—from collection to installation. Through your attention to detail and expertise, you will directly contribute to the quality of our service and customer satisfaction.
The position is based in our warehouse in West Drayton, offering a modern and optimised environment for managing valuable items.
✏️ What you'll do:
- Driving our trucks: Your primary role is driving our trucks to safely deliver items on time. You'll follow planned routes, but you'll also need to think on your feet and adjust as needed to keep things running smoothly. Safety and reliability are key!
- Check the vehicle's condition: Perform basic maintenance, and ensure the load complies with safety standards.
- Loading and unloading operations: Perform the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring secure fixation of crates and packages in the vehicles, manually or using lifting equipment as necessary.
- Delivery and installation: Collect, deliver, and install artworks at clients' locations, following their specifications and respecting schedules.
- Perform detailed condition reports before and after each handling: Document the condition of each object precisely before and after handling, ensuring rigorous traceability and optimal preservation.
- Packaging and protection of items: Perform careful packaging, selecting appropriate materials and methods (crating, padding, foam, etc.) to minimise risk of damage during transportation.
- Collaborate with logistics and customer service teams: Provide prompt support to the warehouse team, operational staff, and customer service, contributing to a smooth admin management.
- Ensure tracking and storage of items: Use our inventory management system effectively to monitor and record the movements, locations, and statuses of artworks.
🧑🎨 Your profile:
Driving related skills:
- Prior experiences within the field of art transport and installations is appreciated.
- You hold a Category C1 driver’s license.
- Comfortable with long days on the road, as well as the hands-on work of loading and unloading trucks as needed.
Skills in Packaging and Storage:
- Experience as an art packer or with high-end furniture moving, with the ability to assess and minimise risks associated with handling fragile and valuable items.
- Proficiency in using warehouse handling equipment (dollies, pallet trucks, carts, etc.) and ability to safely handle heavy items.
- Solid understanding of warehouse logistics and storage systems to ensure accurate tracking of items’ movements and locations.
- Precision by paying attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
