JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Driver Manager
Department: Operations, Southeast Rendering
Location: Guntersville, AL
Shift: Monday through Friday 7PM- 4AM
Reports to: Terminal Manager
Principle Responsibilities:

Plan and schedule drivers and tractors for all loads respective to the processing plant serviced by the operation for timely pickup and delivery to 3rd party rendering facility.

Maintain effective communication with processing plant and rendering facility representatives to ensure loads are picked up and delivered in a timely manner.

Management and facilitation of all driver-related job functions including but not limited to, operations, safety & compliance, vacation/ -time off, employee relations, claims, and breakdown.

Manage coordination with maintenance to ensure completion of preventative maintenance and timely repairs to trucks within the fleet.

Assist as needed with respect to HR-led initiatives, including but not limited to, payroll, enrollment of fringe benefits, issuance of disciplinary action, and general communication between driver and management
- Work collectively with the other rendering operations in the area.

Administer daily and weekly business-related reporting and data entry.
- Additional duties may be assigned, depending on the needs of the business.
Experience: Previous supervisory experience required, preferably in the trucking industry.
Qualifications:
- General experience in the trucking industry.
- Proficient in general computer software.

Experience working in TMW and/or Geotab is beneficial.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and both verbal and written.

Strong understanding of FMSCA Hours of Service and Compliance.

Strong time management skills and able to prioritize effectively

A proven leader and team player, dependable, consistent, and reliable.
Education: High school diploma and/or advanced learning degree preferred, not required.

Base salary range of $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 annually and

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s quarterly bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
