Fluidra’s looking for a Drafter to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
The Drafter will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans based on specifications from engineers or project leads as well as programming our turret punch press and waterjet. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of drafting principles, and proficiency in CAD software. Additionally, you will:
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and plans based on specifications provided by engineers or architects.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify 3D designs.
- Review and interpret engineering and architectural sketches and specifications.
- Make revisions to drawings as needed based on project feedback or changing requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs align with technical specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Maintain documentation and archives of drawings and project details.
- Reviews, writes, and edits engineering documentation, including product user’s manuals, product work, instructions, test reports, etc.
- Assist in project meetings to discuss progress, troubleshoot design issues, and incorporate solutions.
- Develop and write CNC programs using Radan nesting software for various cutting operations, including turret punch press, waterjet cutting, based on engineering specifications.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of CNC programs to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
- Collaborate with machine operators to ensure accurate and safe execution of CNC program
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal operation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and guidelines.

WHAT WE SEEK
- 2-5 years of drafting experience
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, or similar).
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (such as Mastercam, Radan Nesting).
- In-depth knowledge of CNC machines, tooling, and G-code/M-code programming.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of CNC programming experience, preferably in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of engineering, architectural principles, or industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

EDUCATION
Diploma or Associate Degree in Drafting, CAD, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
