ORGANIZATION SUMMARY
World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. The Divisional Director provides direct supervision to assigned World Relief field offices and works with the office development team to set systems and accountability for US Offices.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Missional and Organizational Leadership
- Embody the mission, vision and values of World Relief, setting an example for offices, their staffs, volunteers, clients, churches and the community
- Assist senior leadership in setting the spiritual tone and culture of World Relief
- Lead assigned national initiatives as developed by the US Leadership Team
- Serve as assigned on cross-functional teams, in a matrix management setting
- Function as a “bridge” to nurtures cross-divisional, cross-program, cross-functional and cross-office integration across US Field programs and the larger Enterprise in order to facilitate program excellence, sustainability and efficiency across the network.
- Model clear, timely and transparent bi-directional communication with World Relief senior leadership and with office-level leadership to foster a culture of collaboration and trust and to inform Senior leadership of US office health for strategic decision making.
- Participate in the development of funding initiatives, national program grant proposals and program innovations
- Lead development of new offices or program sites as determined by national strategic plans Leadership Development
- Line Manage the Office Director of assigned offices.
- Demonstrate commitment to increasing the gender and ethnic diversity of World Relief in key leadership positions
- Provide direct coaching, supervision and accountability to Directors of assigned offices, focusing on the developmental needs of these leaders and provide strategic planning support for the stability and health of each local office.
- Provide budgeting oversight and support to ensure alignment and office health
- Maintain a regular plan of personal visits and virtual meetings with office directors, focused on healthy office standards and strategic goal attainment
- Ensure SVP and USLT have ongoing visibility of offices’ health, support needs, and strengths Management Oversight
- Assure that individual office goals and directions are consistent with the overall goals and directions of US Programs and of World Relief
- Visit assigned offices to provide on-the-ground support and coaching on implementation of programs, policies and procedures
- Act as Interim OD where needed in assigned offices
- Lead the hiring of OD role for assigned offices
- Collaborate with technical support units to be proactive in addressing any performance issues in the implementation of core programs
- Engage leaders and staff, working closely to identify opportunities for growth, innovate effective solutions and coordinate operations development support
- Ensure local office understanding of and adherence to all applicable World Relief policies and procedures
- This role is responsible for supervising others and includes responsibilities consistent with supervising employees, including but not limited to monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets including approving time off, monitoring performance including entering goals, progress check-ins, and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, documenting performance concerns, entering staff promotions, transitions, and separations in HRIS within required time frame. Managers at World Relief are also considered spiritual leaders and are expected to lead staff in a manner consistent with our Christian values, including but not limited to praying with staff, leading devotionals, and fostering a Christian environment in interactions with staff throughout World Relief.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- Master’s or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 3 years US Resettlement experience and program knowledge
- 3+ years of progressive program/office budget management
- Ability to travel as needed to US offices and other in person meetings
- Computer and typing skills, Microsoft Suite 365, Excel and use of formulas, Project management software like Asana, Virtual meeting platforms like Teams & Zoom
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of progressive management responsibility (of multi-office staff)
- Master’s or equivalent experience required
- Experience working with refugee and immigrant communities and cross-cultural experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple demands and deadlines with flexibility
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of US resettlement and ORR funded programming
- Experience supporting virtual teams
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations
- The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-15 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information.
- The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and communicate.
