Dispatcher/Coordinator - Salford Quays

Marlowe Fire & Security are the fastest growing fire & security business in the UK. From initial design, supply and installation, through to ongoing maintenance and monitoring, we maintain the capability to help prevent, detect and monitor Fire and Security risks for our customers up and down the country. We are currently looking to appoint a new Dispatcher/Coordinator located at our Head Office in Salford Quays

We are launching a Training Programme for candidates looking to either start their career, or who wish to have a career change and move into a Planning and/or Scheduling discipline.

  • Starting Salary: £24,500 per annum.
  • Salary after completing 6-month training & probation: £25,500 per annum.
  • Salary after 12 months: will be reviewed

The Role and Your Progression

  • The initial Training Programme will launch on Monday 11th November 2024
  • This opportunity is all about taking skills that you currently have and developing those skills into becoming a competent and high-achieving Planner/Scheduler, which can ultimately progress your career with us across multiple avenues and disciplines.
  • Your training and development will introduce you to working with a variety of internal departments within our business, giving you valuable experience and understanding of a number of teams and how they operate, such as: Engineering, Customer Service, Finance and Supply Chain, whilst also dealing with external Clients.
  • Your first 4-6 weeks will be a combination of classroom training at our in-house Marlowe Academy, along with 1-2-1 on the job training with a designated mentor.

We will provide you with the guidance and training required to be fully competent within the following areas,

  • Schedule all work within designated region in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
  • Proactively monitor engineer’s activity to ensure that you touch base with all your engineers’ daily, ensuring early dispatch & attendance of first job & monitor throughout the day to ensure job completion.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with your Engineers, Stores/Supply Chain Department & Regional Service Manager (RSM) to ensure all calls are actioned accordingly
  • Work closely with your manager and support your assigned Regional Service Manager (RSM) to meet customer expectations.
  • Liaise with key clients over the phone to enhance both internal & external working relationships
  • Completing the Regional Schedulers checklist on a daily, weekly & monthly basis maintaining an audit trail of this activity for yourself & your regional scheduler. Sharing weekly data with RSM
  • Monitor Scheduling Portal (Cash4Windows) to ensure real time visibility of your engineers, highlighting any anomalies to your RSM.
  • Retrieve all phone and email messages and process accordingly within Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Processing of orders to ensure all work is carried out in time to allow invoice to be created.

For this specific opportunity, we are looking for candidates who offer:

  • Ideally, at least 6/12 months experience in an office-based environment.
  • Demonstrable experience within a Customer Service/Dispatcher role would be an advantage.
  • A clear communicator with a good telephone manner.
  • Good written/email communications skills.
  • Computer literate with Basic Microsoft Excel skills, such as accurate data inputting, sorting & filtering.
  • This is a full-time, office-based role. Ideally, candidates will live within a 30minute commute to our offices and Training Academy at Salford Quays. We are very centrally located, with free parking on site and fantastic bus & metro stops within a 3–5-minute walk.
  • Our working hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm.
