Directus is looking for a site reliability engineer who is passionate about cloud native deployments and distributed systems at scale. This position is multi-faceted, and includes writing and maintaining infrastructure as code templates, architecting multi-cloud and distributed infrastructure environments, and setting up automated deployment pipelines to help ensure the long term stability and success of the Directus Cloud platform.
Requirements
Intimately familiar with Kubernetes at scale
Strong familiarity with AWS (or alternatively Azure or GCS)
Know your way around Linux and the Unix Shell
Understanding of zero-downtime runtime principles
Knowledge of Helm (or comparable Infrastructure as Code tooling)
Demonstrable DevOps experience
Responsibilities
Respond to incidents that impact availability
Continuously improve infrastructure to prevent impacts from happening
Design, improve, and implement system monitoring across a global data platform
Debug production issues across services in the stack
Design, build, and maintain core infrastructure that enables scaling to support thousands of active tenants
Improve system availability and capacity.
Location
While officially headquartered in NYC, all our staff is decentralized by design. Our global team has been efficiently working remotely for over a decade, coming together each SRE 2 day via internal chats and telepresence.
