ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director of Wholesale Accounts is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to grow wholesale revenue with key Wholesale partners. This role supports high-value wholesale accounts, manages strategic partnerships, and identifies new opportunities to expand our presence allowing us to cultivate relationships with key wholesale clients.
Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the expedition industry and the ability to manage complex sales cycles, working in close collaboration with our Revenue Management team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wholesale Account Strategy & Growth
- Develop and implement a strategic growth plan for the expedition segment’s wholesale accounts.
- Identify and engage new wholesale clients within the expedition and adventure travel markets.
- Foster strong relationships with key accounts to ensure long-term partnerships and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with the VP, Sales -National & Strategic Accounts and other stakeholders to establish sales goals and revenue targets.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as the key point of contact for major wholesale clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Conduct regular business reviews with wholesale partners to align on goals, share performance metrics, and identify growth opportunities.
- Address and resolve any client issues to maintainpartner satisfaction.
- Sales Execution & Performance Analysis
- Manage contract negotiations and ensure alignment with financial objectives and company policies.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare reports, and present sales forecasts to senior leadership.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities within the expedition segment,
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS degree or equivalent industry experience.
- 10+ years of experience in sales, preferably in wholesale or expedition travel.
- Experienced with Salesforce, Seaware, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Demonstrated success in managing high-value accounts and achieving revenue growth.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication abilities.
- Understanding of the expedition travel market, including trends and challenges.
- Strong skills in time management, handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- The ability to work independently as well as with others in a team environment.
- Must be able to travel 50-75%, and work remotely (home-based position)

COMPENSATION STATEMENT
Lindblad Expeditions determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
