Gallery Media Group includes women’s lifestyle brand PureWow and a collection of social-first media brands, such as @cocktails, @moms, @recipes and @ballplayers on Instagram and TikTok that reach over 200M consumers. Additionally, GMG has an expansive experiential arm rooted in Gallery Houses—a fusion of social content, creators, and cultural moments at scale—and a robust influencer marketing business. The company was founded in 2010 by CEO, Ryan Harwood, and is now part of VaynerX, the Gary Vaynerchuk-owned holding company.

Gallery Media Group is seeking a Director, Talent Relations for the NYC office. This role is tasked with enhancing an expansive talent rolodex for GMG across publicists, managers, studios, labels and more. This individual must be in the know and ahead of the curve across pop culture, digital and traditional talent, and trending conversations while strategically knowing when and how to incorporate talent into GMG content, initiatives, and events. Talent needs to span all industries, including but not limited to: Young and Old Hollywood, Music Artists, Professional and College Athletes, C-Suite Executives, Hip Hop Artists, Entrepreneurs, Social Media Influencers, etc.

Essential duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive talent booking strategy, develop creative programming concepts, manage and track deliverables and oversee talent/booking logistics (travel, itineraries, contracts, etc) across Gallery Media Group business units and partnership initiatives
  • Understand the dynamic synergies amongst media, celebrities, and brands, and conceptualize strategic integrated partnerships around them
  • Architect, market and manage guest lists for Gallery Houses and future GMG experiential ventures
  • Maintain great relations through consistent communication with existing talent base
  • Consistently meeting w/ publicists, agents, managers, etc to ensure GMG is top of mind
  • Dialed in to PR carwash opportunities w/ all the major studios/distributors/labels 
  • Assist as a brand and business ambassador helping to ensure talent becomes part of the fabric of their programs and promotional efforts
  • Collaborate across all content, marketing and communications efforts to establish best practices and innovate how Gallery Media Group works with talent and their representatives

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Talent Landscape, particularly events, experiential marketing + PR
  • Proven track record of negotiating talent deals + PR barters
  • Tact, diplomacy, and discretion: You will be working across all teams and be privy to sensitive information.
  • Kind, thoughtful, and low ego: We look for people who have these attributes, as we think they are key contributors to a great company culture.
  • Incredibly curious: fast learner, motivated, resourceful.
  • Extensive and long-standing relationships in the celebrity and talent management community;
  • Proven track record of finding new/emerging talent and maintaining successful talent relationships particularly under challenging circumstances;
  • Proven track record of demonstrating strong creative judgment, comfort working with creative executives, and the ability to recognize and help support high quality and innovative content;
  • Capacity and willingness to become involved in diverse business needs including but not limited to writing a strategy and contract negotiations;
  • Collaborate with teams across content/programming, marketing, social media, sponsors and the like.

  • Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location
  • Base Salary $110-140k
