The Director, Strategic Finance Product is a critical leadership role. It serves as a strategic financial partner to the Product organization, leading key business insights and strategic analysis enabling long-term financial decisions that drive the outlook of the business.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Finance for Product, this person will lead a business-critical team providing financial visibility and business insights to ServiceNow leadership.

    • Work in lockstep with the Product SVP GMs and their leadership teams
    • Partner with Product, Sales, Strategy and Finance leadership to develop and interlock the topline Product plan for the company
    • Lead Product budget planning working with the Product GMs, Engineering and Design orgs to align resourcing to efficiently achieve topline objectives
    • Ensure all monthly and quarterly related reporting requirements and submissions to Corp FP&A are met in a timely and accurate manner
    • Manage forecasts and financial review meetings
    • Identify and communicate opportunities and risks impacting business performance
    • Structure and execute ad-hoc analyses such as evaluating new product and investment proposals
    • Manage, inspire, and develop a high performing Product Strategic Finance team
    • Develop cross functional relationships
    • Develop and prepare executive materials 

 

To be successful in this role you have:

    • 12+ years of relevant finance experience, including experience supporting a product organization within an enterprise software / SaaS company
    • 5+ years of experience managing large teams of high performers; ability to recruit, train and retain top talent
    • Strong financial analysis capabilities: ability to interpret financial information to understand business performance, tell the “story” behind the numbers, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
    • High energy and a desire to work in a result-oriented, dynamic fast growth environment
    • Strategically oriented with deep knowledge/familiarity with ServiceNow products, services, and competitive landscape or can ramp quickly and add value to driving growth and priorities
    • Strategic mindsight paired with impactful communication skills; a demonstrated ability drive engagement across all levels
    • Bachelor’s degree; CPA, MBA or relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution or similar academic experience is a plus

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $178,900 - $313,100, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs.  Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
