As Fanatics Commerce continues to expand our business globally, we are looking for an influential leader to help transform how we operate. This is a critical and high-profile role, partnering with the key business stakeholders across Commerce and Fanatics Holdings Inc (“FHI”) in the development and execution of our growth strategy. This role will report to the SVP, Accounting - Fanatics Commerce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize global Commerce revenue and supply chain accounting processes with the appropriate people, policies, systems, and controls that will drive business growth efficiently over the coming years while maintaining compliance with accounting regulations.
- Lead month, quarter, and year-end close & reporting processes to publish timely financial reporting and analysis for management and key stakeholders.
- Support the accounting team in researching and analyzing new accounting guidance and applying guidance to topics such as new product distribution, marketing programs, and cross-platform initiatives in a fast-growing environment.
- Partner with the FHI Shared Services team to optimize processes and ways of working.
- Manage working capital by driving improvements in the areas of inventory, credit & collections and vendor & customer terms in partnership with the Shared Services team as appropriate.
- Support the implementation of new finance and accounting technology systems.
- Drive and achieve results through leading and influencing team members.
- Build and maintain a highly effective team that is aligned with company values through talent development, training, and mentoring to promote a culture of high performance.
Educational / Professional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial accounting experience with a retail, manufacturing or consumer products company.
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting leadership experience in a company with annual revenues of at least $1 billion.
- Strategic business partner to executive leadership and department heads across the company.
- Experience working at or closely with a “Big 4” audit firm.
- CPA preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
