Where You'll Be

To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on a hybrid in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our South Charlotte office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop product features in collaboration with business and product, business, and engineering
  • Collaborate with product, business, and engineering to build an understanding of systems or APIs involved in integrations
  • Recommend and implement complex integrated solutions that fulfill business requirements and align with technology roadmaps
  • Ensure that all delivered solutions adhere to industry best practices for scalability, maintainability, usability, availability, extensibility, security, and portability
  • Work with a cross-functional product team to architect applications that meet business requirements and adhere to technical standards
  • Ensure high quality deliverables by demonstrating leadership in code reviews and test practices
  • Be aware of current security trends and tools, and advocate for the incorporation of new security technologies as requirements evolve
  • Ensure that all delivered solutions adhere to industry best practices for scalability, maintainability, usability, accessibility, availability, extensibility, security, and portability
  • Champion well-written code and technical documentation
  • Work with product owners, product managers, and other stakeholders to establish technical product strategies
  • Provide accurate and timely estimates
  • Contribute to defining technical roadmaps; identify technical improvement and refactoring opportunities
  • Work with geographically distributed Agile teams
  • Work outside of standard office hours as needed and, on occasion, support night-time releases
  • Lead multiple teams to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and continuously improve software
  • Mentor the engineering leadership team to develop and perform as highly as possible
  • Own the applications’ technology stack and drive modern solutions to complex problems

What We’re Looking For

  • Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of software engineering and processes: design patterns, algorithms, schemas and queries, system design, unit testing, code reviews, agile, and dev-ops
  • Experience working with teams that leveraged the following: continuous integration / continuous delivery tools, REST API development, serverless architecture, containerization, IaC, public / private cloud, web applications, web services and application observability
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience with distributed teams
  • 2+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry
  • 2+ years of experience working with large clients
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Starting Salary: $162,975 - $217,300 (plus bonus)
    *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
