A prominent partner is seeking a Director of Self-Funded & Stop Loss Products in Minnetonka, MN. This leadership role focuses on driving product strategy, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the success of self-insured employer group health plan products. The Director will be responsible for developing a compelling product portfolio that differentiates the organization in a competitive marketplace.
Responsibilities
- Develop short- and long-term product roadmaps that consider pricing, marketing, promotion, and placement strategies to increase market share.
- Create and execute implementation plans for new product introductions, securing necessary resources and organizational support.
- Introduce innovative products and solutions that provide value to employer groups and the brokers representing them.
- Engage with external business and vendor partners to evaluate and implement a top-tier value-added services offering.
- Establish influential relationships with customers, industry experts, vendor partners, and consultants to identify innovation opportunities.
- Participate in the Commercial leadership team to develop and execute the segment strategy.
- Oversee the entire product life cycle, including market research, product design, development, implementation, and performance analysis.
- Manage daily operations of self-insured product management and stop-loss insurance, driving go-to-market strategies for existing and new products/services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 8+ years of relevant health care industry experience.
- 3+ years of management/leadership experience.
- Experience in developing and launching new health plan products, strategies, and customer value propositions in a complex environment.
- Strong knowledge of marketing, sales, and distribution processes in group health insurance.
- Insight into commercial/employer group purchasing, industry trends, and contract negotiation.
- Demonstrated expertise in health plan product development, funding arrangements, and health care operations.
- Strong understanding of customer needs across small, medium, and large segments.
- Exceptional creative instincts and a deep understanding of the health plan industry.
- Proven ability to lead, build, and manage a motivated team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
