Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Self-Funded & Stop Loss Products in Omaha, NE. This strategic leadership role focuses on driving product innovation, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and implementing strategies to position self-insured employer group health plan products for market success. The Director will oversee the product lifecycle from development through implementation, working with brokers, employer groups, and external partners to differentiate products in a competitive market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute product roadmaps covering pricing, marketing, promotion, and placement strategies to grow market share.
- Implement plans to introduce new products, collaborating across teams to secure necessary resources.
- Launch forward-looking products and solutions that add value for employer groups and brokers.
- Engage with external business partners to enhance service offerings.
- Cultivate relationships with clients, industry experts, and vendors to identify opportunities for product innovation.
- Collaborate with the Commercial leadership team to develop and execute segment strategy.
- Lead strategic planning and execution for self-insured employer health plan products, aligning with company objectives and market demands.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle, including market research, design, development, implementation, and performance analysis.
- Drive go-to-market strategies for existing and new self-insured products and stop-loss insurance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
- At least 3 years of management or leadership experience.
- Proven experience in health plan product strategy, development, and execution.
- Strong knowledge of marketing, sales, and distribution processes for group health insurance.
- Understanding of employer group purchasing, industry trends, strategic planning, and project leadership.
- Proficient in health plan product development, healthcare funding arrangements, market research, financial analysis, and sales concepts.
- Excellent communication and team-building skills.
- Ability to build consensus across multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership.
