Director - QA

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Planning QA policies, programs, and initiatives used to monitor and measure overall Production quality
  2. A proven track record in successfully leading a QA team of 15-20 QA engineers comprising of Automation and Manual QA engineers, Leads and individual contributors
  3. Experience in working in geologically distributed team structure with an active engagement everyday
  4. Exceptional ownership skills with strong decision making to ensure the team successfully delivers in unforeseen challenging situations
  5. Track record in ensuring the team follows processes and QA standards and proactively propose and bring changes into actions for continuous improvements to evolve over time
  6. Hands-on experience in Selenium, Java, JMeter and open-source tools like Locust
  7. Good to have experience in Data Quality with ETL testing, Data Analytics and Reporting tools
  8. Experience working with Agile methodology
  9. An influencer by advocating for technical excellence and innovation while being open to change and improve when needed
  10. Mentoring and guiding teams, keeping them motivated in building solutions for optimal efficiency and foster a healthy work culture
  11. Track QA metrics and build and execute action plans to improve Product quality

 

Required Skills:

  1. Minimum 5 years of managerial experience into Quality Assurance
  2. Technically proficient and possess a strong understanding of QA methodologies, automation tools and relevant technologies to effectively lead and guide testing teams
  3. Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with stakeholders like developers, product managers, customer facing teams to align and integrate QA processes and deliverables
  4. Good analytical, problem-solving, project planning and negotiation skills
  5. Able to detect anomalies and guide the team to resolve them with formulating a resolution strategy
