We are seeking a Director, Program Management to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Waltham, MA office.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Program Management to lead and drive cross-functional teams, manage strategic initiatives, and oversee business transformation efforts within our organization. This role is ideal for a visionary leader who excels in Agile environments and is passionate about fostering collaboration across various departments to achieve impactful business outcomes. The Director of Program Management will be responsible for overseeing program managers and ensuring the successful delivery of projects, enhancing transparency, and supporting continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management 
    • Develop and lead a high-impact team of program and project managers, guiding them through the successful execution of diverse initiatives across business systems, infrastructure, and other key areas. 
    • Develop and implement individual development plans to foster the growth and effectiveness of team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. 
    • Cultivate strategic partnerships with business stakeholders, ensuring transparent and timely delivery of business outcomes. 
  • Program & Project Management 
    • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of multiple strategic initiatives, including application rationalization, and business transformation projects. 
    • Manage the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. 
    • Utilize Agile methodologies to manage cross-functional teams, driving collaboration and ensuring that project goals are aligned with business objectives. 
  • Process & Governance 
    • Lead the modernization of Business Systems program management and Agile delivery processes, enhancing governance models and ensuring compliance with internal controls. 
    • Develop and refine project life cycle processes, governance frameworks, and communication methods to support transparency and efficient decision-making across the organization. 
    • Implement and track metrics and KPIs across programs to measure project success and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Strategic Planning & Business Transformation 
    • Provide leadership in the development of high-level roadmaps, capacity planning, and strategic planning to support future growth and scalability. 
    • Spearhead business transformation initiatives, guiding the transition from legacy systems to modern, scalable solutions that align with organizational goals. 
  • Financial Management 
    • Oversee budget planning and tracking for all initiative, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with strategic objectives. 
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that financial resources are allocated effectively to support project and program delivery. 
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement 
    • Drive innovation by exploring and implementing new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance decision support and project management capabilities. 
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains. 
  • Other duties as assigned and required.  

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in program and project management, with a focus on IT and business transformation.
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional Agile teams and delivering complex, high-impact projects.
  • Strong background in process improvement, governance, and metrics-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, and/or CSPO certifications are highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 

This position offers a total compensation range of $225,000.00 to $235,000.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata’s benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata’s compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
